TORONTO– With the Toronto Marlies win from Monday being wrapped into last week’s edition of hot and cold performances, this week consists of two games in which the Marlies split against North Division foes.
Former Marlies forward Fabian Brunnstrom scored the winning goal as the Grand Rapids Griffins beat Toronto, for the fourth time this season, 2-1.
The Marlies scored six consecutive goals before the Hamilton Bulldogs could break Mark Owuya’s shutout bid as the Marlies defeated Hamilton 6-1 on Sunday.
Toronto concluded a 10-game home stand on Sunday with a record of 7-2-1. Their total home record is 18-6-4, good for second in the AHL, while their overall record is now 31-19-6.
They hold a seven-point lead over the second place Rochester Americans in the North Division and their 68 points has them tied with the Charlotte Checkers for second in the Western Conference.
The Marlies will head to Hamilton to face the Bulldogs this Wednesday for the ninth time this season.
The season series is split at four wins apiece.

After being held off the score sheet for five games Deschamps broke out with two goals and five points against the Bulldogs. His five points was one off of Jiri Tlusty’s single-game Marlies record of six set in 2009. He now has 19 points in 22 games with the Marlies.
Season Stats: 22 GP 6 G 18 A 22 PTS
Dupuis also had a big game against the Bulldogs with one goal and three helpers. He has 13 points in 11 games through the month of February. Since joining the Marlies, he has added signifigant depth down the middle.
Season Stats: 12 G 25 A 37 PTS
Mueller was the only player to pick up a point in both games this week, earning three assists in total. He currently has a three-game point streak and leads all Marlies skaters with a plus-12.
Season Stats: 45 GP 16 G 19 A 35 PTS
Colborne has no points and is minus-two in his last four outings. He has one goal in his last eight games and after starting the season with 19 points in 11 contests, he has only 16 in his last 33.
Season Stats: 53 GP 15 G 34 A 49 PTS
Zigomanis has been the offensive leader for much of the season but failed to pick up any points this week and has only one assist in his last five games.

Blacker has been sidelined with an oblique injury since leaving a game February 14th against the Adirondack Phantoms. While his return is still undetermined, when he’s ready to play he will be back on the top D-pairing with Korbinian Holzer.
