TORONTO– This past week the Marlies played three games on the road and won only once.

Their victory came on Sunday, a 4-3 overtime win against the Albany Devils (New Jersey affiliate).

They lost to the Oklahoma City Barons (Edmonton affiliate) on Tuesday 3-1, and on Saturday to the Adirondack Phantoms (Philadelphia affiliate) 2-1 by way of shootout.

At 7-5-3, Toronto is currently tied with the Rochester Americans for first place in the North Division.

They will meet on Friday in Rochester at 7:30pm.

With that said, here are the Toronto Marlies hot and cold performers for the week of November 7th to 13th.

Who’s Hot

Mike Zigomanis

Season Stats: 15 GP 3 G 13 A 16 PTS

Scored a goal on Saturday and picked up two assists on Sunday and is now second on the team in scoring. He also made Don Cherry’s segment of Coaches Corner again on Saturday.

Mark Owuya

Season Stats: 4 GP 1 W 1 L 1 SOL 1.52 GAA .939 SV%

Owuya lost both starts this week but out played Jussi Rynnas into starting three consecutive games. Stopped 55 of 58 shots and showed much more poise then last seen at the rookie tournament.

Nazem Kadri

Season Stats: 8 GP 1 G 6 A 7 PTS

After a slow start since rejoining the Marlies, Kadri picked up four points in three games this week including his first goal of the season on Sunday.

Who’s Cold

Tyler Brenner

Season Stats: 10 GP 0 G 0 A 0 PTS

Played all three games this week but is still pointless on the season. He had six points in eight games to finish last season with the Marlies and the expectation is he should be scoring.

Keith Aulie

Season Stats: 11 GP 0 G 0 A 0 PTS

Aulie’s frustrating start to the season continued this week with a rib injury that kept him out of games on Tuesday and Saturday. In his return on Sunday, he went -2 and is a team worst -9.

Jerry D’Amigo

Season Stats: 15 GP 2 G 6 A 8 PTS

Started the season strong on the top line but since losing line mates Joe Colborne and Joey Crabb, his production has plummeted. Picked up one assist on Sunday.

Look for Marlies hot and cold every Monday.
